New signboards displaying colour-coded real-time traffic information have been installed on CTE and ECP, LTA said. The new Expressway Motoring Advisory System (EMAS) signboards, located at entry points to the two expressways, will display information in both text and graphical messages. The signboards will start operation on Sun. The signboards will be “progressively implemented” along the other expressways, and are expected to be ready by 2017, LTA said. Another 70 new electronic signboards have also been installed along four major arterial roads, including Upper Jurong Road to Commonwealth Ave, Geylang Road to Upper Changi Road East and Mountbatten Road to Xilin Ave. The new signboards will allow better information dissemination and consequently better traffic flow islandwide....
