A new dialysis centre in Yishun, the first one to double as an education and outreach centre to raise awareness about kidney disease and healthy living, is scheduled to open on July 31. Scal – NKF Dialysis Centre at Yishun St 81 will have 14 dialysis stations, to provide treatment for up to 84 patients each week, Scal said on Thurs. The centre will also collaborate with grassroots organisations to run various health awareness programmes in the community. Scal raised $964,500 to fund the centre through member donations and a donation from the association, as well as through charity golf tournaments held on Fri and in 2015.
