Rental bikes being abandoned everywhere, including in residential estates, is a very common sight nowadays. In my Bukit Timah landed housing estate, for example, these bikes are left indiscriminately on walking paths. I have informed the bike rental companies and the authorities, but the situation seems to be getting worse. LTA should consider fining the irresponsible bike users instead of the companies. It should be easy to get the particulars of the last user of the bike. Fining them would send the right message to all concerned.... Continue Reading
