It is most heartening to hear that the Wolbachia project is being taken to the next phase. In the first phase, NEA released Wolbachia-carrying mosquitoes at Braddell Heights estate and after some months, there were distinctly fewer mosquitoes. Residents see much less fumigation and application of chemicals to drains in the past year, but also fewer mosquitoes.
