We have three BTO launches to look at this Nov: Ang Mo Kio, Tengah, and Tampines. And if you’re expecting me to say something like “oh, it all depends on your needs when choosing”, you are wrong. I’m going to give you a common-sense personal opinion. The pros and cons of the different BTOs aside… 1) Tampines is the best – It is a five minute walk from the Tampines MRT and bus interchange. Not enough for you? Okay, there’s also a hawker centre, a public swimming pool, and a library. Demand will be insane; 2) Ang Mo Kio – Is actually pretty far from the Ang Mo Kio town centre. But there will be Lentor MRT station about five minutes away by 2020; 3) Tengah – will be the first new town in 20 years. So whoever decides to buy here is kind of a pioneer. There will be a Tengah Plantation MRT station opening in 2027. Up till then, you need to take the bus from Bukit Batok Road to whichever MRT station you’re going to.... Continue Reading
